We are fortunate that Trinity College London international examination board provides an exam day each term at the Faculty of Music, enabling students to take their practical examinations in a familiar environment with one of our regular accompanists.

From percussion to piano, saxophone to singing, Trinity College London provide a wide range of Grade and Certificate exams designed to nurture musical development at every level. The graded music exams are designed to provide a structured learning framework which evaluates a student’s progress at every level. Music exams equip learners with real-life skills to help them become confident musicians and performers. Trinity exams are internationally recognised, with UCAS points available at the higher grades.

Music Diploma

Description

Embracing all music styles and cultures including rock, jazz, popular and world music as well as the rich classical traditions, these qualifications provide sufficient variety and choice to appeal to all areas of the music profession.

Associate (ATCL, AMusTCL)

The standard of performance is equivalent to the performance component of the first year in a full-time undergraduate course at a conservatoire or other higher education establishment.

Licentiate (LTCL, LMusTCL)

The standard of performance is equivalent to the performance component on completion of a full-time undergraduate course at a conservatoire or other higher education establishment.
