Young Musicians’ Summer SchoolDescriptionAimed at all talented young musicians aged 11-18, come and get creative this summer and pursue your musical passions at Trinity Laban’s iconic King Charles Court campus. Our intensive 4-day summer school is for anyone passionate about making music, eager to build new skills, and up for making new friends with a range of musical interests and backgrounds. Participants choose from a variety of performance-based and skills-building workshop strands, guided by incredible musicians from Trinity Laban and beyond. This year’s summer school culminates in an amazing opportunity to perform on a huge outdoor festival stage at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Animate X LambethDescriptionAnimate projects offer young musicians from year 5 upwards opportunities to play together and create their own music in a ‘young person’s orchestra for the 21st Century’. Bringing together young people from a wide range of musical interests and backgrounds, Animate courses are fun, sociable and musically adventurous. For this project– Animate X Lambeth – Trinity Laban is now seeking young musicians aged 9 – 14 to take part. The project will take place over 3 days at the start of the Easter holidays,and take inspiration from writing music for film. Led by Sarah Freestone and a team of specialist tutors and student musicians from Trinity Laban and Lambeth Music Service, this is a fantastic opportunity for any young person in the early stages of their musical development to experience the thrill of large group music-making and explore their own creativity.
